Explore a Kansas City architectural-asphalt planning budget using roof surface or a simple footprint example.

The starting example is 2,000 square feet of known roof surface. Supported roof-surface examples run from 1,500 to 3,500 square feet.
Keep the 2,000 sq. ft. example, or enter an area you already know. Roof footprint means the area covered, not total living space.
Keep the 6:12 example unless you already know the pitch. Pitch helps check material suitability.

Kansas City metro planning figures, checked October 27, 2026.
October 2026 Kansas City architectural-asphalt planning figures use $4 to $6 per square foot of measured roof surface. The supported example range is 1,500 to 3,500 roof square feet.
The model includes one shingle layer removed, synthetic underlayment, eave and valley ice-water protection, needed flashing, ridge venting and haul-away. It does not price repairs, metal or commercial roofs. Deck repair, additional layers, unusually steep or complex work and access require the property-specific scope.
The default is a known 2,000 square feet of roof surface. A footprint input uses the selected pitch to calculate a simple surface example; it does not measure valleys, dormers or additions.
For the work beneath a new covering, see roof replacement and its deck, flashing and ventilation scope.
One-layer removal, conventional underlayment and ice-water protection, needed flashing, ridge venting and haul-away.
Deck repairs, more layers, difficult access and complex geometry change actual pricing. The tool cannot see those conditions.
A leak repair, metal assembly or commercial membrane needs its own scope. Contact us about that roof rather than applying the asphalt rate.
